Mr Sam vs Fred Baker- Forever Waiting (Alpha Concept Remix)

My first track since getting my Delta 44 & BehrINGer Truth B2031A Monitors.

All Comments appreciated....

Nice song!
The bass sounds abit thin - maybe some distortion to it would help? Like a tubeamp. The arpeggio is really nice! The effect that hits in at around 3:33 sounds like it should be put a little more back in the mix (to me).
I enjoyed listening to it! :) Thanks for posting it!
Romain
good track, fast paced. does justice to the original ;)
alanzo
nice pad in the beginning.. what did u use for it?

the arp sounds very software-ish...

the track, overall, needs a boost of about 10db and a boost to the treble on top of that of about 7db.. aside for that, it's pretty good..
ManTrance
Cheers for the comments guys.

Alanzo - Im aware of the boost problem, still got some final mastering to do. Any1 want to offer?

Also, I used the Pro53 for the mid & high pads, and a V-Station for the bass notes.

nice soft intro
ok now what u gotta work on ;)
kick needs louder, and the synths have too much reverb on them...
im gonna geuss u made this on fruity loops from the kick ... so work on that a little :)
snare needs more treble
overall sounding very oldschool :P just mastering u gotta work on :)

peace out

well, 1st listen, up ht e volume.
at 2:40, big problem, synth lead goes down et the jungle break is too high. The rolling snare is too high. down its volume.
the track is good, the high and low frequencies are good. The only problem comes from your mid freq.
JohnOC
ok. this is what it needs:

-kick is too standard
-hats are too quiet
-bass is a bit hard housish, try get it more rolling
-general EQing of the percs and snares is strange, sounds really muffled
-synths and pads are nice

overall, good but lots of work to be done. im sure the next from you will be better :)
ManTrance
Cheers guys!

Top notch advice. I've been pleased with how my synth work has been coming on, though its not suprise my percs have let me down. Definetly something I've gotta work on.

And, yeah Im working with Fruity, lol!

Hey Mantrance

Love the bass for a start - really deep and rich.
Change the kick maybe and make the closed hi-hats a bit less sharp.

really nice synths, nice and deep again, great pads too.

Excellent work

Hey man:

1) The filterer synth at the beginning needs to have more feedback on the delay so its fading out once its finished playing if u get me? Its sounds weird how it just stops...

2) Agree wih John (god forbid ;)) on the bass, too hard house.

3) The main part doesnt feel like the main part, if u get me? Needs another element in there!

So far, so good - stick at it!

Hey mate, sorry for being a bit late on this one.

Gotta say this is one of the best works I heard from you. Drive is very good, as well as the overall structure of the track. Nice work on the lead!

On the other hand, I thought the track sounded a little 'quiet' - I had to really turn up the volume sometimes. Maybe crank it up a bit?

Keep'em coming ;)
