Wow, I might actually survive both the blast and the fallout! I'm squeezed between Topeka (they're ed) and KC (they're really ed) in N. Douglas County, and it appears that we may not get hardly any fallout, depending on which way the wind blows I suppose.

Funny, considering that my city, Lawrence KS was the cite for that nuclear bomb film in the '80's, The Day After:

My hometown of Wichita is really ed, but it always had been. Back during the Cold War it was on the top 5 of sites to bomb due to Boeing, an AFB, and other aircraft companies and materials.

I'm in the red ring so i'll probably just get sunburned and have really deformed children. I'm lucky I have a desk handy to duck and cover under.

Did anyone look at montana? There gotta be 1000 nukes dropped there!
razmataz
Does this mean that the areas with the rings and targets have nuclear power stations close by because i cannot fathom a town like Cumberland being a terrorist target?

NYC is pretty ed.

Don't worry, I'm dead too.

I think I'd take instantaneous vaporization over radiation poisoning and fallout though. So, I'll be in blissful oblivion as the rest of the US begins to vomit their intestines.

Looks like I'll be high and dry.

Isn't North Dakota where all the missle silos are located? I'm guessing that's why you'll be nuclear carpet-bombed.

Yep, that's precisely why. This is actually a pretty freaky thread, since I'll be in Bismarck on business next week, and was discussing this very fact about missile silos with my co-workers this morning.

North Dakota is not the only state that will get creamed if Russia decides to go nuts with their nukes. There are about 10 other states that have dense concentrations of nuclear ICBMs, and those places will get targeted heavily and first. Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, etc.

Well I am in that isolated nuke on the eastern half of the state.
What kind of business do you have in Bismarck? There isn't much there or in this entire state for that matter. Except a few remaining nukes, some oil and coal.

Remember the only skyscraper on the cityscape is the capitol building. It is like 30 stories high. The rest is nothingness and fly by country.

I'm a lawyer for a company that's getting sued there. Since it's a big Fortune 50 company, and had sales offices in all 50 states, it can be sued anywhere. This guy just happened to live in Bismarck.

I just hope it doesn't snow. No offense to your state, but I really don't want to be stuck there for Thanksgiving. Although I've heard Bismarck has some decent restaurants.
