Ok so I moved to Dallas 6 months ago and through word of mouth I tried to find the cool spots in Dallas to 'wet the whistle' and 'get the groove on' and while I have heard of some nice places most people think techno/trance is annoying...obviously I disagree, I don't know that I qualify as an addict but I like the music a lot. I did an internet search and found this board and after lurking here for about 6 wks now I finally registered and posted. Questions for you people that seem to know what is going on:
1) What, if any, are the good dance clubs in Dallas? How much are the covers? (I'm not cheap I just want to know ahead of time)
2) other than this board is there a place to keep up to date on DJs in the area? I seem to always find out after the fact and my knowledge of local or even regional DJs is minimal at best.
3) Anyone know anything about the new Purgatory place? or the Vain Lounge?
