Second track on their new album, i think it's amazin.
bita info on the track:
| quote: | Bono said
Bono: "We all went to the same school and just as we were leaving, a fellow called Christopher Nolan arrived. He had been deprived of oxygen for two hours when he was born, so he was paraplegic. But his mother believed he could understand what was going on and used to teach him at home. Eventually, they discovered a drug that allowed him to one muscle in his neck. So they attached this unicorn device to his forehead and he learned to type. And out of him came all these poems that he'd been storing up in his head. Then he put out a collection called Dam-Burst of Dreams, which won a load of awards and he went off to university and became a genius. All because of a mother's love and a medical breakthrough." |
nice story in my opinion :) |

| Nice lyrics but dissapointing album in general. More 'stadium rock' as far as i can gather |

listening now...
hm
definately like and appretiate the message and the lyrics, but the song as a whole just doesn't do for me what U2's older stuff does
after knowing the joshua tree for so long, not much else comes close
song's not bad though
now lets just wait for the remixes :p |

agreed
all the images i can think of seeing pictures or videos of u2 playing are of them playing to maaaaassive arenas stadiums and fields, and their music seems to go for that anthemic quality, though it just isn't that great
like their new one vertigo thats in the apple commercials...after hearing those 25 seconds of it i feel like i've heard all there is to hear of the song :( |

well I'm a huge u2 fan, and I must say that I like this album more than the last one. It definatelly gets better the more you listen to it.
Some of the vocals are too high-pitched sometimes, which makes me think if they kicked edge/bono in the nuts to get sutch a note. The lyrics are sometimes cheezy, I must admit. Nevertheless its still above all the bands you hear nowdays IMHO.
Fav track thus far: Love and Peace or else |
