I agree with you here, but seriously you're so easy to rip on because of your hypocrisies. Your sets, too, consist of the "ASOT/GDJB/Tiesto stuff. You're a great guy, but your contradictions make you look like an ass.
This was a great set by the way.

First,
I don't play from ASOT/GDJB. Last time I checked I didn’t have a Markus Schulz or Armin Van Buuren tracklist nor would I ever want to play that , difference not similarity in our tastes. I do play a few tracks Tiesto would play but I would never play the tracks he played in his TIC II or other gigs, difference not similarity in our approach.
Second,
Listen if anyone looks like an ass its someone from Texas.:clown:
Third,
I know you are trying to classify me as a certain person or DJ, but unlike you I have many musical interests and/or tastes. I like alot of different things. Notice I have many different styles in my mixes and tastes in my music. I do not isolate myself into a particular category has you have.
A closed minded person like yourself may look at my mixes and my comments and see contradictions. But more educated people who understand the complexity of music would see that Dave Piazza is just as complex in as the music he appericates. But I don't blame you because complexity is something Texans don't handle to well. :clown: ( Sorry cheap joke :D )
I will repeat what I told you before which you obviosuly did not read.
"I try to move around within my styles depending on my mood or message I am trying to push. I dont try to corner myself into a particular style or sound. This makes DJ'ing and EDM fun and interesting for me. I try to be consitistant in the message I conveys through the mix but vary that message. 005 and 006 are very different from 001-004 because I was hoping to tell a 'differnt story'.
I use music to express myself and my feelings. I use all forms of EDM to achieve this goal. I want to keep my listeners entertained with the beauty and varity of electronic dance music.
Some DJs try to find a particular sound, I just try to find good music. I hope to please as many listeners as I can but be true to what I beleive that 'sound' , be it trance or prog. , should be. My trance mixes area a reflection of the sound of the trance I enjoy. My prog. mixes area a reflection of the sound of prog. music I enjoy. "

I've never heard a Timo Mass set before although I've heard a few individual tracks that he has remixed.
Is this typically the style he plays?
Awesome set but I wish these mixes were streamed in better quality though |

Hey. No offense but didn't you tell the guy to open up his mind? I personally quite like your style. However, saying things like 'ASOT/GDJB ' don't make you any different from any other closed minded person. I may not be in the position to say anything but it would be nice if everyone could respect others' likes in music even if you don't like it. As for music, you can never please everyone, somehow GDJB/ASOT and stuff will please some of the crowd. And if you think about it, it's usually these more 'commercialized' (shouldn't really use this word) or 'exposed'edm that brought many of us into the gems. hell, half of the so called elitist in TA came from the more mainstream edm, be it house, trance, techno, whatever. But again, it's just my opinion. Hope I didn't offend anyone here :toothless *hides away again* |

I listened to ASOT/GDJB and gave them a chance. I was opened minded about both shows orginally. I than come to a conclusion about both shows based after some time.
It seems the person who made the comment about Timo didn't even give him a chance but rather said a statement without even listening to the mix. That I don't respect. |

Yeah, I've just listened to the full set now, Timo did good.
King Unique, Matthew Dekay, Meat Katie, Timo Maas.. four good EM's in a row indeed. With Meat Katie being my fav. out of those four I think. |

First of all what I said was my opinion, and i dont listen to ASOT or whatever the that is, i quite like progressive and tech house music, just thought the set was boring and played too slow like you were always waiting for it to take off!
I agree the 2nd hour, particulary the last half hour, was better but i expected a lot more from Timo Maas -why do djs wait until the last half hour before they get going, sure its nice to build a set up but in hell that was a 1.5 hour build up, just cant see how this could be rated as one of the best e-mixes of the year
