Great tune as always. I really wish you would post higher bit rate versions of your work (I really like A Swim with the Fishes but wish it was better quality) but I guess you have you reasons :)
Well done. |

Oo ooo ooo I like the kickdrum! :D Nice start. Even though it's kinda basic, I like it very much! The break after 3 minutes is akward..eh, those drums doesn't fit in at all, imo. Hmm.. nothing happening... I'm waiting for the main-melody, but there is no. Well, not my cup of tea, but well produced!!! |
Nice to know the kickdrum is sounding better! In my previous songs, I focused a lot on bringing a main melody to the forefront of the song... with Toad I wanted to try something different, and just have a melodic groove throughout the whole tune. But I appreciate your comments ofcourse - thanks for the review!

Alright Trev! This is another great piece of work from you! The overall feel of the track is very nice, and the quality even sounds good at 128kbps. I enjoy the percs and bass a lot, especially in the intro/outro. The delayed kick effect from 3:20 is a bit too loud, I think it would work better if it was more subtle - maybe if you LP filtered it or something. :conf:
That's my only critisism though on another lovely piece of work. Thanks for sharing! :D
(oh, and get onto MSN, I need to talk to you. :p) |
Thanks Joe! I'm not sure about the delayed kick break either anymore - I may revisit that. Good advice - thanks for listening! No Power Struggles for me today... I had the runs :(

damn so relaxing, i like this!
would like to hear some choir sequence in the second climax, and a 192 bitrate version :).
piano is really nice.
nice job mate. just spice up the second climax. |
Hey Massive - thanks man! I wouldn't really know how to do a choir sequence.. think more strings would cut it? I appreciate the feedback, and I can sort you out with a 192 kbs version if you like - just PM me! Thanks again.

| Really smooth, nice layer blending, feels like one of those really chill tracks that when played loud sound kinda hard at the same time. To the cdj's it goes. |

The intro moves you into the song pretty gently. I like the kick. Nice atmosphere. This song moves really slowly, taking its own pace to at layers; & it really sucks you in whilst doing. It comes together really well.
Love the break at 3:00. spinny pads with that reverbed click thing.
I absolutely love the echo drums 3:30. Tuely Kickass man!!
& then @ 4:30 the pianos kick in & it is all sweet.
Another nice break @ 5:50. beautiful atmosphere.
I have nothing to say; I cant think of any modifications. The track is great. It does seem to drag on a bit after the 7:00 mark with all the same pads/rythmes etc; but i see that you are exiting the same way you have entered ~ realeasing slowing; so it works.
Great track sooper :p |

you should definitely try making some euphoric/melodic trance tunes... i'm sure you'd be able to come up with something kick-ass. :) |
