Sounds to me like you have a 200 word vocabulary. So I'll tell you what... since Caliraver seems to be the "happy-go-lucky" type, maybe he can be gracious enough to donate a portion of the 7 bucks he was going to give back to me to buy you a thesaurus. |

there's no need to be a pompous ass. we get that you don't like the idea surrounding mass transit. perhaps the venue is not the best place (i don't know, i've never been), but there's also no need to personally insult people either... and that goes for u too cryo :p
if people are really about the music, that's all that matters... |

As far as booking djs goes, what kind of budget do you ing think we have? We've got a poolhall in the suburbs with a moderate sized dance floor!

And btw, we're _usually_ responsive to complaints, suggestions, whatever, when you're not being a douchebag about it.
Personally, I'd like to see more trance addict people come by on our free wednesday night parties.
We're just about the only venue in DC that will book local no-name trance DJs, so if you spin or you have a friend that spins, please come by and talk to us, we'll give you a shot.
We're actively looking to break new talent, unlike a lot of promoters that just book the same old djs over and over again. |

I guess I should thank you for helping me bring my point full circle. You're operating out of some pool hall that is run by people who didn't even know who the hell Scott Henry was when I got to the door. This party doesn't stand a chance of any long-term support.

We'll pull in a few hundred people once a month. It's more than enough to cover the costs we're incurring. We know the venue isn't the best, but it's a <$10 party, the sound system and dance floor are pretty good, and the vibe is always good, as far as i'm concerned.
Believe me, if we could get a better venue, we could. We started this out just so we'd have a place to play once a week on wednesday's. We had an opportunity to try something bigger, and we're taking it.
We're not trying to be Glow, we're just trying to throw a fun party. |

Wait let me get this straight...you actually think there is a correlation between the door staff's knowledge of a DJ and the success of a party?
What kind of a tard are you?
Do you have any idea how many times I went to Glow for say, Paul van Dyk, and had the door people go "Paul who? what the is that?"
Door people usually aren't hired for their music knowledge.
