I just saw this on Jive and thought I would share it with everyone.

JIVE: So who have you signed to Pharmacy Records other than yourself?
CL: So far just me. I�m talking to some other artists. We�ll see what happens. It�s going to officially launch in February of next year. I want to put out some of my own stuff first and try it and make sure everything is in place before signing somebody and going, �Sorry, I�m not really ready for you.�
JIVE: From what I understand, the last week or so, you�ve been closing with one track?
CL: Jonathan Allyn.
JIVE: There have been some questions about that actually.
CL: Yeah, Jonathan Allyn did a neat track that�s really good. He handed it to me when I was playing in Atlanta last Friday. He actually gave it to me before the party so I listened to it on my laptop, and I was like, �This is a good track.� And I never do that, I never play things out that people give me the same night. I always take them home; listen to them in the studio. It was just really good. I kept looking at it and trying to decide where it would fit in my set. I thought the energy on it was really good and I decided, �You know what? This would be a really good closer.� And it worked fantastically; it was the closing track for my set. And so I did that again the next night, and last night, and everyone really seemed to like it. So, we�ll see. That�s the advantage to starting my own label. I can road test tracks and then I know whether it�s worth putting out or not. If it works on the dance floor then it�s probably worth putting on vinyl.
