Alright, I just fried my computer speakers, Logitech Z-somethings. Really sucks, because I have my tables hooked up to the RCA inputs on my Audigy.
So I need new speakers now. I was thinking of getting powered (need to be powered) monitors OR speakers. I need something that will have decent bass by itself, my old speakers had a seperate sub... Also, I'm not sure whether I want monitors or just regular speakers... Either way, I need something that sounds decent, gets loud enough to jam out a single, small room, and something that goes down low, self powered of course... Can I even hook up these kind of speakers to a computer ? |

My knowledge isnt too great on the subject, but I believe you arent looking for studio monitors if that is what you mean by monitors. From what i gather, with studio monitors, the bass is limited and you get clarity. If you want something that will rock out, you will need to look for a different type of speaker.
I'm sure for people to properly suggest speakers to you, you should prob. provide a price range you would like to stay within.
Also, for hooking it up to your computer, your computer uses either a 1/8" jack, a 1/4" jack, or a rca, pretty standard stuff. you might need a few more cables found at radio shack if you go with the ampless approach. |
