| go find MyIM, it has links to older AIM proggies and lets you turn off ads and even buttons and features of aim to make it less of a hassle| |

I was just cruising along, doing my thing, and all of a sudden my computer starts lagging like a bitch. It took me a good 10 minutes to figure out, that popup movie the AIM buddy list has now had started playing and was slowing my computer to a near halt. Fun stuff.
I would get an AIM substitute if I used it more. As it is I usually just sign on, chat for 5 minutes, then get off. I'm not one of the 'Leave it on forever for my children and their children's children to see' people. |
