Audiogalaxy Alternatives?
View this Thread in Original format

in the past week i have been re-downloading all of my trance classics @ 160-192 kbps from audiogalaxy. in the past couple of days, i've noticed that at least 50% of the tracks that i've searched for are blocked.

i remember a while back the thread entitled "napster alternatives." i just thought it was time to start this thread. i love audiogalxy and i am sad to know that it is going the way of the napster. but, now i need an alternative to audiogalaxy.

i also have:

kazaa
morphius

...but i don't think they measure up. when ever i search using them, i get very few results and the results are mainly 128 kbps. i need an equal to audiogalaxy. is there one?

The alternatives are
Morpheus
WinMX
Aimster
Kazaa

Dont know whats best.. dont use them much, but i usually find what im looking for in one of them..

I prefer winmx over morpheus. as for the other two, I have yet to try them.

i think that for the time being
lossing Ag means we are f***ed

no program even can be even cmpared to the huge amount of tracks at ag
and the quality of the prog.

i guees we will have to wait for the next grnius:D

i have to agree with that...i've tried all the other programs except aimster and they don't even compare to AG. what about audiognome....is that program still around?

i use winmx all the time, but haven't tried audiogalazy cause apparently its got some spying program or something...but only heard

I'm already using AG, WinMX, Morpheus & My Napster.
By far, I prefer AG 'cause it has (or had) the most titles I´ve been lookin' 4, I have only had a few problems with restricted ones, only when they are classics or very popular, for example: Tiësto's Dallas 4pm, is restricted (In fact, 'In My Memory' is all restricted), but I got a version named 'dj ti_sto - dallas 4pm'. I belive this is a good idea to continue sharin' the files. I don't like WinMX a lot 'cause a can't find the tracks I'm searching.
Can anybody tell me if the track-finding has to be with the server connection, I mean, if I'm connected from Mexico, do these servers have a low count of titles?
...but....as (almost) perfect as NASPTER, there isn't anyone....

there are NO substitutes for audigalaxy. not only is it the best for finding ANYHTING but also all other music download programs work differently (and worse) to audiogalaxy, its a shame everthingfs starting to be blocked. oh yeh and DONT GET KAZAA! its absiloute e, you can hardly find anything (one copy of "stay with me" takes the piss doenst it?) and unless your a 13 year old boy who spends his night wanking voer net porn then its totally useless and avoid it liek the plauge, i dunno bout the others tho i havtn used them, oh yeh morpheus is just kazaa with a different front on it.

yeah AG has to be the best mp3 program I ever used that can find rarer stuff not alot I cant find on this thing. And most other progs I'll be lucky if I find the more common stuff that I can find on AG. I think AG will still be good to the new stuff but the more common things will be different although we cant tell what they are gonna do. I suspect this all has timed in with there new Gold server? Probably

i 'xperienced myself the true difficulty of getting gatecrasher digital on AG, nothing on morpheus, Kazza and newnapster-likes...

So we gonna go at new to our forums and ftp for special active contributor, BTW have noticed that even if the file is prohibited if you get the link,
as

http://www.audiogalaxy.com/list/song.php?&g=156406454

http://www.audiogalaxy.com/list/song.php?&g=156406458

For last PvD politics of dancing albums
before they prohibit the file you still can get it after all.

Maybe this the answer by now, to keep the sharing of high-demand tunes nearly prohibited...

this may not be true, 'cause before napster went down, audiogalaxy was a ghost town. we just have to be patient and see what everybody decides to use to share their files. it's true that ag had the best format for dnldng, but i'm confident that something else will take over soon.
