This is the latest set by DJ Likatek from Kosovo (11/15/2004) I’ve been talking to this guy for quite some time now, he is such a sweetie! :)
He is playing alongside another dj I would love to see this weekend, Dj Murphy from Brazil (he introduced me to his sounds actually).

Blurb:
One of the pioneers of the electronic music and founders of the techno scene in Kosovo, characterized by many as one of the hottest techno scenes in the region.
Middle of 2002, he founded the internationally recognized series of events named “Episode”, which became popular for its consistency and charisma of the participating local and guest DJs - placing Kosovo in a strong position in the world clubbing maps.
Supported by the alternative and independent radio station Urban FM, he released the trilogy of mixed CDs, starting with the ethereal “Human”, through expressive “Shades” and to the obscure “Pure”, all of which were distributed without charge, adding to the creation of a most faithful and demanding audience.
His marathon sets of fused funk, tribal and hard, touching almost all the boundaries of today’s techno production, have brought him both tight home schedule and appearances in some of the main international events and festivals in the region, playing alongside Mills, Carola, Slam, Umek, Deetron, Emerson, Vigorito, Smith, Dundov, Agoria, PREACH and many others |

yes, I know this.. but my friend generally refers to himself as a dj from Kosovo, so I am doing the same. |

well it's a province.. kinda like how I refer to Preach as a dj from Québec on my signature. ;)
anywayz.. I should have figured someone would make a comment, but honestly, I wasn't aware of any *structure* for my posts.. I'd be just as inclined to refer to Rino Cerrone as a Naples dj.
point is.. this set is worth a listen for sure, so back on topic.. download it!

EXACTLY!! :D
my point being I don't necessarily refer to a dj by country
and as for what city..
well he lives in the city of Pristina, in the province of Kosovo, in the former republic of Yugoslavia, a country in Europe….. which is a continent on this earth!
I don’t know his birthday or if he wears boxers or briefs though.. sorry
:tongue3 |
