Does anybody know?

Does anybody know how much it costs to bring a big DJ like Armin, PVD or ferry etc to a club....I came across a document on David lewis's website... booking request Form... It outlines a few things that are mandatory but doesn't mention anything about per hr rate or the lum sum amount or does it vary depending on the venue??...
Also when PVD was here and only spun for 2 1/2 hrs...rumour surfaced that he wanted 4 grand per hr more which the club mgmt didn't agree to......therefore the set was cut down short and would make sense...But on the contrary Ferry corsten took control of the Main room in april for a whopping 8 1/2 hr set on a nite when he was supposed to spin for only 3 hrs...Is it that if a DJ feels like spinning more than the reqd amount of hrs...he/she does it for free or does he make the club pay for his extra services :conf: :conf:

factors are:
-how long is the set?
-capacity of the venue

Im currious to find out about this information too ;)

I think the price of a DJ is decided on a gig to gig basis. Ferry I think would charge less to play in the guv for 8 hours than most other places cuz he loves to play that venue I would think, but PvD really couldn't give 2 s about it and would cost more. But i think on average, from what I've heard throught my years, a headliner DJ set would cost between 5-20g's.

Ouch...thats expensive but i guess if a club is charging 45-50$ for an event and have a capacity of 2000 like the main room...that comes to 90000 therefore making a headliner affordable but if there is 2-3 of them like @Guv sometimes then the club is not getting much out of the event

oh well thats what i would have thought, so they dont get that much afterall.

A lot of DJs get 30-60G per gig. And thats not including first class tickets, hotel, crazy riders and expensive meals. And then you all bitch because they only charge 30 or 40 bucks. Seriously, the people to complain to about that are the DJs u are going to see.

good point...totally forgot about that...but after doing some math it doesn't come out to be a very high number...talks about clubs making millions is a lil bit exagerrated

4 g's didn't sound much to me either...But if a guy is earning that much per gig and doing like 15-20 gigs per month...one can only imagine how long it will take, before he makes it to the millionaire list..

There are actually very few DJs who command those kinds of fees - they are in a very select group, and it's really limited to a handful of people. Those kinds of numbers really aren't at all representative of what it costs to book a good touring DJs, outside of a few select individuals.
