You got to be kidding on this. As for the picks, none of them are even scary, but if I had to choose it would be "Texas chainsaw massacre".
I only agree with one person on this list as scariest movie ever, and that is, The original japanese version of The Grudge, which is called Ju On:The Grudge.
The Ring was crappy and way overated, nothing scary about that, more of confusing I would say, The Shining wasn't scary at all, but a good story. Ju On:The Grudge is confusing as well and I doubt anyone can stay along with the movie, but boy does this movie get under your skin and scare the out of you:nervous: |

we watched that at the theatre lock-in last year. wasn't scary, just gorey..watching people get ripped apart. |

it is a lot of gore, and for a 12 year old that'll screw you up! i kind of like the headphuck scary movies more now these days, and not so much gore. if you want to go on the other extreme, watch the movie "Dead Alive" i think that movie set the record for the most fake blood ever used on set :p |
