Ph00l, you don't gain muscle immediately after leaving the gym! Working out causes damage to your muscles, it's when they've started repairing themselves 48-72 hours later that they get "bigger" or "stronger".
Must remember that. :D |
no your wrong
after your work out right after
your muscles will increase in size.. due to increase of blood flow vein expansion and so forth.. youll probably gain a good 2 cm or so on each limb depending on what you worked out
that will disappear after 6 hours or so.. the muscle will repair and probably increase in size later on
but the biggest difference youll notice is right after a work out
depending on how hard you work out obviously |

I should clarify: yes, you're right, they do get "bigger" after a workout, but THAT IS NOT "gain". Nothing you could ever do would get them to stay that way - they must enter a catabolic state eventually. They look bigger because you've essentially stretched and torn them (not literally torn, because that would hurt like a motherf*cker, but you know what I mean).
If you actually weigh yourself before and after a workout, you'll undoubtedly find that you've lost weight, unless you drank a boat load of water, in which case your gain would be water not muscle. The increase in muscle "size" is nothing more than a decrease in muscle density - they've increased in volume, but they've actually decreased in mass because you've burned a little off of them. Once they return to normal density a few days later, is when you get to see if you've "gained" anything or not. |

| digi - you should also add that you do not speak from experience, but instead from reading textbooks. looking at your rippling physique its easy to see that the heaviest thing you lift is a textbook. |

Thanks, but I do speak from experience, and I don't read textbooks. There are only two ways to get the "rippling physique" - juice, or years of training. Seeing as how I don't juice and I've only been working out for about 8 months, I'm just not at that stage yet. But if I've gained about 30 lbs., I think I must be doing something right??
Next time try not to make assumptions before springing into dumbass personal retorts. |
