The whole NYE thing would be awesome.. kinda expensive no? I'm trying to convince my GF to go away snowboarding for NYE, but she'd rather go some place warm/hot. I want Vail or Whistler. =(
Btw, in Queens, Forest Hills, theres a bus I used to take up on weekends to Mt. Snow, Windham, Hunter Mt., Okemo.
Its usually $65-75 per person. Theres different packages etc etc. Thats one easy option. We could kinda do a drive up or a meetup. My car (325ci) could only fit like 4 people tight if I get a rack for my car. If I borrow my dads CRV I could MAYBE fit 5 also tight.
I personally believe larger mountains are better learning grounds for people, then again I learned on a small mountain for a few years in Mass. |

Emilios Ski Shop on Queens BLVD.
Great place to take weekly buses from. Really cheap.. you're only paying like $5 for the bus. the lift tickets are normal price and the bus is like $5 they charge you all in one. (they're actually recieving discounts on the tickets cause of all the people they bring) but its still cheaper than driving up on your own and having to pay for gas/lift ticket and abusing your body with the drive time. |

Close!
Been on those buses like 4-5 times a year. Great crowd that goes. Lots of fun. They get there when the mountain opens and leave when the mountains close. |

Btw, if we get enough people to want to go, we could just get a private bus through them. We wouldn't have to go with all the regulars that go (although they're usually all nice people).
I think we would need roughly like 30-40 people.. I have to check on it. |

I'm down for anything... I ski and just recently started boarding... I have all ski gear but I'd rent snowboard too and enjoy falling on my ass some more!! :stongue:
I wouldn't mind driving either, near or far, and can give rides to as many as can fit... :) |
