To me they are all "nightclubs" and the "afterhours clubs" are "late-nightclubs" in a way. A nightclub is a dance club/bar which is opened at night but we can call them all discotheques if this whole thing was too complicated for you. A true "afterhours" would be a place which serves liqour after hours which would be passed 2am and not many well known clubs are doing this at all because it is illeagal.
By the way no one is forcing you to come to Toronto so if you don't like it then you can go to Montreal and live happily ever since you think it's soooooo much better than Toronto or you could stay in Hamilton which is nightlife capital of Canada and all:D LOL!
One thing that is certain is that Montreal and Toronto and both waaaaaaaaay better than Hamilton:whip: I guess you're just pissed that The Argos beat the Ti-Cats and that we have an NHL,NBA and MLB team while you guys have nothing but a CFL team which the Argos are better than and an AHL team which Toronto will also have next season when the St John's Maple Leafs move here:D ;) :tongue3
Bottom line-Get your own table and sit on it till you get splinters for all I care but don't talk smack about Toronto and our nightlife unless YOUR city has a something better or even close which I assure you it does NOT have!!!!!!!!:whip: |

Where the hell did you get this definition? Most true afterhours partiers will tell you that a true afterhours club generally doesn't serve liquor at all. Almost none of the clubs in Montreal do. |

By your definition SYSTEM,GUV,VIVA,COMFORT ZONE (SILVER DOLLAR) ect. are all not "true afterhours" because they serve
alcohol????? If those places aren't "true afterhours clubs" then what clubs in Toronto are?? |

By your definition they aren't either, since none of them serve alcohol after last call.
Boa and Comfort Zone are "after hours" (not that I'm putting those two in the same class, they are worlds apart). |

By my definition those are late-nightclubs and I said that before. Any "true afterhours" places which serve alcohol after 2am wouldn't be stupid enough to publicly advertise it on here or many other places either.
By your definition COMFORT ZONE wouldn't count since it serves alcohol upstairs in the SILVER DOLLAR and you previously said "a true afterhours doesn't serve liqour at all". By saying that COMFORT ZONE is a "true afterhours" you are going against your own theory and ideology in your definition of "true afterhours". |

#1. Once again, it looks STUPID to put the name of every CLUB in capital LETTERS.
#2. I did not at any point say that "true after hours clubs cannot serve alcohol". That was YOU misquoting me. I said, most afterhours partiers will tell you that afterhours clubs generally don't serve alcohol - as in the vast majority.
#3. The term "after hours" refers to, and ONLY to when the club operates! Hence the reason for #2, since most real after hours clubs open long after last call or close enough to last call to make serving drinks a stupid idea. Whether or not they serve alcohol after last call is a moot point and definitely a ing dumb criteria for whether or not it should be called after hours. By your definition, EVERY "true after hours club" would be ILLEGAL - does that make ANY sense!? Everyone in this thread who thinks it does, say "I".
#4. CZ definitely falls into the after hours category because it is the AFTER PARTY club! People go there AFTER other clubs - can you get any more afterhours than that!?
Quit being a dumbass. Since you registered you've done nothing but talk smack about all the clubs in Toronto. I'll repeat what's already been said - you sound like a ing desperate promoter.
Edit: I guess I should give you the benefit of the doubt, you did defend the Toronto clubs earlier in this thread, but I stand by my assertion that you talk way too much smack on here. It totally sounds like you've got an ulterior motive for all these postings, and I think you should quit being a jackass to everyone on this forum and come clean with it. |

Well by your new criteria of "real after hours clubs" being open long after last call or close enough to last call to make serving drinks a stupid idea then GUVERNMENT,VIVA,SYSTEM,FILM and all the others would be counted as "real after hours" since you are judging it on what hours they are running and this would once again contradict your statement that there are only 2 "real afterhours" in Toronto because there are other clubs which operate after last call with (illeagal) or without alcohol.
People go to GUVERNMENT,SYSTEM,VIVA,FILM,PULSE ect. after other clubs as well so under your new requirements for a club being called "a afterhours club" these clubs would qualify and would disprove your own theory that we only have 2 "afterhours" clubs in Toronto under your own definition of what a "afterhours club" is.
The Toronto scene is AWESOME and anyone who went to GUVERNMENT last night or Danny Tenaglia at BOA or the last time that Tiesto was at THE DOCKS or one of the times where Bad Boy Bill rocked SYSTEM or when NU NRG tore up VIVA or Scumfrog ripping it up at COMFORT ZONE can attest to this fact no matter what kind of category you want to put these clubs in.
PS If you love Montreal so much and think that thats where all the "real afterhours clubs" are then you can join Abood in Montreal and have a nice life:happy2: :tongue3 |

| I agree that this whole debate is retarded. Oh and by the way, its funny how many people weighed in on what clubs they hate but the club love thread has turned into a flame war. It kind of says a lot about how things work if you ask me. |
