Just thought it was pretty funny that Oakenfold spun last night @ crobar, and I haven't seen a review of the night, or anything ...

Has he lost touch with us THAT MUCH ???

I guess so .....

The night was freakin amazing, the opening DJ kicked ass and people were really into him for the last 30 or so minutes of his set. When oakenfold came out, people had had enough of the wait and wanted to hear some of his tracks...he played the right tracks, interacted with the audience and really made crobar vibrate with his beats.

It was okay... Oakey came on at 2:15. I wound up having to leave at 2:45. :( The first few songs were really good (all I managed to hear).

I know its rather late but I actually went to see Cokie.

Liquid Todd opened up and he had some cool cuts, even threw in some classic trance songs. 3 hour set though and I was waiting to see Cokenfold to come on. About 30 minutes before his set, he was on the side meeting and greeting people and taking pictures. I shook his hand and said a little hello. From my vantage point, I could be wrong, his eyes looked a tad glossy to me. I could be seeing things but he looked a little out of it. Who knows?? :D

He played some cuts man. I haven't been feeling him for awhile!! (he used to be my favorite back in 1999) but I thought the tracks he played were pretty damn good. However, his mixing at times was awful. I mean awful.

His hair is WACK! Enough said.

He played "Southern Sun" and some other older hits. Sounded like a greatest hits collection or something because I guess you have to cram them all within the 2 hours that he spins. I mean... as soon as the 2 hour time frame hits.... he's out of there quicker Ron Artest attacking a fan. I was surprised he stayed past an hour to be honest anyway.

Oh yeah, I'm not feeling "traffic." Still playing that song? That's not good. But overall, the songs selection was good.

It was mad packed there. Lots of people were really enjoying it. I was very surprised by that. I guess he still has it with some people. 2 hour sets and horrible mixing don't add up to a great night, but the tracks he played showed glimpses of promise.

Wow man, 4 hours would be special!! I saw 4 hours of him back in London in 1999 but since about 2000, he never plays past 2 hours. My friend was in Toronto to see him on Saturday and said he played like 1 1/2 hours.
