Even though I had gone out Saturday night, I must say, this Valley-sider had a blast for his first time at Platinum.

Almost nobody outside when we rocked up... no gangsters or anything :p I also wasn't expecting much of the club... but it's not bad at all. Very tidy place indeed. Maybe I shouldn't be quite so harsh on the GC :)

Crowd was a little thin when we showed up around 11pm, for a while there I thought Ferry was going to play to 20 people! But it eventually filled.

Ronald Van Gelderen started up around 1.15 and didn't look to be enjoying it at first, but the crowd started to dance, which got him into it. His set was super-smooth - one of the best up and comers for sure! He played pretty hard out of the box, but hell... he's gotta make a name somehow. No complaints here :) Oh, he wore the same shirt as he did in Melbourne.

Both guys were happy to interact with the fans... the location of the booth helped, I had no problem shaking hands with them and getting my shirt/CD signed - as opposed to Family

I was a little disappointed at the ignorance of some of the crowd, some thought Ronald was Ferry, others didn't know who either of them were! Guess we can't all be TAs :p

Anyway, once Ferry got on (2.30am), the crowd density was nice, not huge, but enough room to move around. I can't say anything except he was fantastic. RvG + Ferry = one awesome team. I left on the closer feeling very stuffed... but man, I can't wait to see them again.

Songs that I know/think were played in rough order:

Ronald
Albert Vorne - A Leaden Day (M.I.K.E remix)
Above & Beyond - No One On Earth (G&D remix)
RvG - Crying Out (I think... was pretty messed up by this stage)

Ferry
Rapid Eye - Absolut
Albert Vorne - A Leaden Day (M.I.K.E remix) - yes, he played it too... great track though
Right Of Way
Punk (slightly tweaked)
Marco V - Automanual (remix maybe?)
Sweet Sorrow
Rock Your Body Rock
It's Time
Gouryella
Tenshi
Ligaya

Yah... no Adagio For Strings. Maybe at Family ;)
