I am just curious as to why so many people like these guys. I'm not trying to bash any Deep Dish fans whatsoever or create any bad vibes between any fellow TA's here. I am not bias'd twoards any style of EDM but I am truely interested in what makes them good as I havn't really heard any of their stuff at all.
Why are they closely linked to usually being in the top 10 in the world as voted by DJ magazine? I understand they play a very house style? Do they get the club going and rock the crowd like no other? or is it just flawless technical mixing or great productions or what? |

In my humble opinion, they are above average progressive house producers and DJ's.

ok , i used to think deep dish were nothing special as well , a couple of years back . Then the GU Moscow CD came out , very nice ! Then the GU Toronto CD came out , even better ! check them out
Then i saw them in ibiza this year @ pacha for the YOOSHI closing party ! OMG ! i can safely say , they played one of the best sets i have ever heard .... :eyes: they rocked the place .
Flashdance got alot of Hype , not their best work in my opnion
David Guetta - The world is mine ( deep dish remix ) is very good
Deep Dish - Stay Gold , is also good
now , i am a big fan of this persian duo ..... :tongue3 |

I'd remove the 'above' and insert 'very' but that's just me... lots of better people imo |

they are awesome because their sets are nicely laid out. That is why they can play those long marathon sets. Last night they played for 7 hours in DC ;)
A lot of DJs bang it out too hard and too fast and really, it wears u down and you get tired.
If youre into goin to shows that is just massive pounding bass for you to jump up and down looking silly, Deep Dish would bore you. |

IMO the Muretto set is way better ... EM was just a bunch of floorfillers cramed together for me |

| When at a club, they carve a groove unlike any other Dj's i've heard. They have this ability to make people go MENTAL over the smallest record, or the most obscure track that you never thought you'd hear. thats what makes them good DJ's thats what makes anyone a good DJ. Not just endless pounders. Only other person i've seen with that kind of Club Djing skill is David Morales. |
