Whats a good virus check, Im running Norton, but there is a virus on the computer that it wont get off. What virus checks would yall advise?
Also, I have adaware and spybot on there, is there any programs equal or better?

McAfee was rated best in 2004 by Canadian VARs.
Norton was rated #2 (I use Norton). |

i use norton system works
has everything u need
but i use 2003
cuz i heard and read that 2003 was better than 2004 |

AVG its free and it has saved my ass a few times!!!!!

NAV 2004 is terrible. No matter how fast your computer is, you can't let it run live checking. It slows down the computer by 75%. It's . Hope they improved the 2005 version thats out. |

click - scan now
Select Country - Canada and hit Go
on the nextpage in the big box (this is for windows home edition) download what it asks you to. or if something pops up on your screen to download then download it... don't worry it's not permanent.
After the download is complete check off the hard drive that you want to have searched for virus's.
When it's done checking if you have any virus's try to either delete them yourself or hit the clean button. |

most viruses target virus scanners/anti-virus to begin with
I'd say a firewall like zone alarm pro is a better security |
