well if it has any intrinsic interest as to what you do or what you wanna do, then yes - dont think twice if you want to (can) do it.
if you are just gonna do it to do it...then maybe not. and make sure that your school isnt just transplanting teachers from the same school into another country. if thats the case youll never meet anyone that you shant meet on campus.
have fun tho| |

Well theres no reason for me to be goin abroad for my degree or my major, however it's an experience that I would like to have for myself and I have heard from a couple people who have studied abroad and said it was the one of the best things they have ever done.
I wanted to know if people on TA had the same mindset. |

I've done it.
I was in London for 6 months @ the London School of Business.
I highly recommend studying or traveling abroad. It will change your life and will broaden your understanding of people and cultures.
TBH
Make sure you bring ample cash so you can travel around. I spent over $10,000 traveling around all Central Europe (Spain. Italy, Germany, Scotland, Netherlands, ect.) during my stay but it was well worth it. I think if you don't buy stupid souvenirs you can backpack around all central Europe for about $5000. I just was buying a bunch of and eating @ high-end places.
I would try checking out the club/bar scene in Madrid, Berlin, and Dublin. All three cities have a very different club/bar culture which was very cool.
I lived in the Marble Arch area in London and it cost about 1000 pounds a month to share a flat with 3 other friends ( we got some special study abroad deal for our stay). The culture was fantastic.
I loved London!
I recommend you visit all the museums and art galleries in London. Most are free and they are amazing. I would also suggest you visit the cities outside London. My favorite was the Cotswold and Bath. I would also get the ‘Let Go Europe’ travelers book on Amazon.com It has a lot of suggestions on what to do in London and other places around Europe. I would also recommend you get a Euro-rail pass. It’s a cheap way to travel by rail across Europe.
Obviously there is a lot of to talk about when you go study abroad so if you have any more questions or need ideas just drop me a PM and I would be more than happy to help you out. |
