my dog just cut my headphones cord, i've tried joining the colored strings together, but it didn't work (it worked for my optical mouse that had the same fate)
inside each colored string, there's a string that does not appear to be metalic
anyone knows?
the headphones are sony but can't remember the model |

| The stuff on the "strings" is insulation and on headphones its not easy to get off cos it melted on(kinda). To make any connections(insulation is there to stop the conduction of electricity) you need to first remove the insulation, I melt it off (it's a bitch though). Then try reconnecting them. |

| Viagra will solve this situation. Your "chord" will never "break" because of the "dog" again. |

my friend solved it out!
it appears that each colored wire inside had a thin layer of something, i had to scratch the surface to remove that layer, joined the wires, and it worked =D
saved me 50 euros |
