Guitar Center tries to pull a fast one on me

I went in to buy a cdj1000
it was tagged at $1149 with no payments for 1 year
I got them down to $1040 and they wouldn't budge any lower.
The kid tells me that if I buy it at the 1040 and not the 1149, then I will not be able to get:
1) the pioneer rebate thats going on for 150
2) the no payments for a year. in other words i'd have to start paying as soon as the bill comes in.
I knew the rebate thing was bullsh*t because I had read the rebate form. I tried to tell him he was wrong and he's like "i've had people not get the rebate because they bought merchandise for less then the tagged price".
The 1 year no payments thing was also bullsh*t because the advertising said that all you had to do is buy something over $250.
Anyway's I bought it for $1040, got the no payments for a year, and called Pioneer, they said that what the kid said is not true--damn fool!. I'll be sending in the rebate tomorrow and I won't pay a penny on the cdj until the very last month!
For those that shop at GC or any place like that, don't ever listen to what those salesmen say, they are just there for their commission. The CDJ is quite badass btw! |

Yeah the rebate works fine.
Btw, im going down to the states to get a pair of cdj800s, or maybe (probably not) cdj1000s.
Did you see how much they had the cdj800 tagged at? |

I got mine from GC for 479 after factory 100 dolla rebate about 8 months ago....I don't really know what they are going for right now ... or if the 800 has a rebate right now.
...so my information was basically worthless.
