Yep, its Naimee Coleman, same girl who did the vocal on Aurora's 'Ordinary World'

the vocals were stuck on by the label bosses after the track was made. Cass & Slide did give permission (obviously) but had nothing to do with it depsite what the credits might say. There is an interview where they say they dont actually like them at all, I think it was in DJ Mag.

That would be horrible... having a track you don't link/didn't want to have lyrics be so successful. Kind of ironic.

Definitely top 10 of all time.

I'm not super fond of the vocals, but they aren't bad, and they don't deter from the amazing sound of the track.

pity, the vocals are wicked IMO. it adds another side to the track..

I always felt the vocal and original ended up being two sides to the same coin, neither better than the other, but complimentary.

Awesome, thanks! :)

Sacha Collisson, Simon Greenaway are Aurora - so that would explain why - they are listed there - I mean basically it works out to Cass & Pete Martin (Slide) for the actual music of Perception and the two producers in Aurora added lyrics and Naimee Coleman's amazing voice to do a vocal mix

pretty much agree
i was very familiar with the non-vocal before the vocal version came around, so i didn't like it as much
but then everyone played the vocal version so now i'm more familiar with it, so it seems like the non-vocal is lacking something

i like both, but i think the vocal is better atm
Petrogad
amazing tune, so glad i have the vinyl :D
