actually, were i live, we had our own little chernobyl in '88. the russians were secretly dumping jet fuel in our city river by night but one night, they spilled it and in the next couple of days, all the kids' hair just fell out.
my parents sent me to live with my aunt like 3 hours away, so thankfully, mine has remained intact.
