Does anyone understand what this poem is saying? i have a hard time understanding poems writtten in old english...

he is obviously an imperialist advocate but when benefits did he bring about imperalisin in this poem?

He was probably talking about the unreasonable burden bestowed upon intellectuals by youngsters too lazy to do their own home work ;)

umm i think that the white mans burden is making the colonized civil and educating them. its the burden that the white man takes when they colonize a country, they turn colonies from savage to civil.
