Does anyone understand what this poem is saying? i have a hard time understanding poems writtten in old english...
he is obviously an imperialist advocate but when benefits did he bring about imperalisin in this poem?

| He was probably talking about the unreasonable burden bestowed upon intellectuals by youngsters too lazy to do their own home work ;) |

| umm i think that the white mans burden is making the colonized civil and educating them. its the burden that the white man takes when they colonize a country, they turn colonies from savage to civil. |
