nice to hear d:fuse on q101 sonic boom on the way over there. tables were set-up on the 1st floor stage, so another 'backwards' night. think im getting used to that set-up though. the opener did a good job setting things up for eddie. eddie came on a little after 1. there were a few technical difficulties which resulted in the music getting cut-off....twice. saw seneca come to the rescue with a replacement turntable. big ups to ya. anyway, i thought eddie was going to be real pissed about the difficulties, but he was able to recover and get the crowd hype again. eddie's second hour was very armin-ish, very different from the first hour. good stuff. he did one encore where he was scratching almost the entire track, had the place going nuts. as for d:fuse, i guess it was a combination of eddie tearing it up and the fact that this was a show to promo his cd, but i never got into it. ended up leaving shortly before 3.
cover: can't beat $5 :toocool:
drinks: absolut red bulls cheaper this time around at $9.25 :tongue2
eddie: tore it up :wtf:
dfuse: eh, could've been better if it wasn't a promoish set :sadgreen:
crowd: those four girls dancing in front of the stage before eddie, need more of them!
parking: don't park at our regular lot anymore! they jacked up the price to $18 for 3 hours :whip: |

valet...if you got a car you aren't worried about having other people drive it. i noticed that the lot behind sound-bar raised their prices too, but not that much. |

Did you make it out before 5 am?
And they may have made it so that the evening special only works if you get in before a certain time too.
Last time I was there I got forced to pay 18 bucks cause I left at 5:15 :(

halliwell's 2nd hour was armin-ish? wtf? i left around 2 am, but from what i heard he was spinning some really HARD - just banging it away - not sure what exactly it was, cuz it wasn't house, techno or anything - just hard-ass . i wonder how the hell he started spinning trance....the guy has great technical skills, but not my style so i left around 2 am.
and btw - don't EVER go to Indian House on 59 W Grand for dinner - the service was the worst that i've ever experienced. |

Halliwell threw down! Im really glad I went. I had second thoughts at the last minute, but overcame them real quick. He was playin hard almost the entire night with some fluffer tracks mixed in as well(a couple older tracks I believe). And I completely forgot about his style of scratching and using the mixer to its full potential. That went really well. JM and I were worried his set was gonna go downhill after the technical difficulties(Seneca, what was going on?), but he got himself and the crowd right back into it. Great set all the way to the grand finale. He knows how to make an exit.
D:Fuse was slow at first but started to pick up the pace around 4, but I left shortly thereafter. After hearing Halliwell I couldnt get into his set.
Got quite a bit of vids on my site.
The funniest thing I saw all night was this guy who was hammered and was holding up D:Fuse's new cd up half the night. The other half was spent drumming away on the side of the stage with two cocktail glasses at first, then with his hands. You'd have thought he was auditioning to be a backup drumpad drummer in D:Fuse's band. You can see him in action here

I had a great time last night! I thought Rez did a great job opening... I thought D:Fuse was going on after him and I was a little worried that he was playing a bit hard in front of D:Fuse but then I seen Eddie come on to the stage and though ok, just right.
Eddie was playing mostly CDs but when he went for his first record, there was no sound coming from the left turntable. We checked the connection and it was fine so they brought another turntable in to hook up when they found out the needle was jacked, not the turntable. Had the same issue last week with ATB so I think that needle needs to be tossed out! They hooked up a new needle and he was all good. I think there was a few issues with the sound due in part to REZ's setup b/c he was using Final Scratch and he disconnected the scratch amp before Eddie went on. I don't know exactly what caused the problems but glad everything worked out after those few issues.
Got some awesome vids too!: www.djseneca.com/videos (there are some from ATB in that directory as well) |

Ugh. It was cool to see a live PA up there, but that's all that belongs there. |

| tom, seneca, (and kristen if u were still there), i need an ID in eddie's set. it was towards the end of the set, vocals from a classic house track playing over another track. eddie turned it down so the crowd could sing-along. muchas gracis in advance |
