japanese ppl are one of the horniest.. whats the legal age there, 16 ?, used panties sold in vending machines so business men can sniff them ? lol.. nuff said, i think they 'do' just fine.. sexually that is, other respectful issues a dif. story. |
It's because the culture is so damned repressive. The kids still wear uniforms to school, heavy emphasis on schooling, and a successful career. There's supposed to be 100% respect for everyone, etc. |

like wearing a school uniform is repression.. :p
probably 90% of schools here make you wear a uniform, as do most others around the globe.
re: japanese kana, its pretty complicated. my other half is trying to teach herself japanese, only just got through kanji (the chinese type one).. its very wierd going from a romanised language to pictogram based language, words can mean completely different things. |

u dork, i meant how do they do it, as in carry on a relationship while she's in japan and he's in NYC. then i said no pun intended because i didn't want him to think i meant how do they have sex:p
and i remember a popular trend in japan when i was living there was older, rich business men paying loads of money to virgin high school girls to take their virginity, and the girls were wililng to do it so they could get the money. i also saw a porno vending machine in one of the more rural ares one time on a road trip. that was very interesting to say the least. |
Lets just say I got the habit of being patient :D |

Leave it to us Americans to decide that wearing whatever you want is the norm. Still; when's the last time someone in the UK killed themselves over failing a test in school? They do that in Japan. :p (No, really ). :(
And as I recall, Kanji has something like 2000 commonly used characters, and there are tons more that are not commonly used? I assume you mean she just got through the commonly used ones. :conf: |

| I heard japanese are not afraid to hurt themselves. They are willing to cut their stomach with a knife right across. |

Suicide over a bad test is just WRONG -- no matter how you look at it. Don't they realise that tests (especially standardised ones) are just one thing you do on one day? It never can determine how much a person knows. People have good and bad days all the time. I believe more in how someone performs all year in the academic environment rather than just one test taken at the end of the year being your grade for the whole class. If someone did very well all year and got, say a 60 % (failing at anywhere below 70 %) on the final exam (assuming that the final exam was just material that was already gone over), that would show that the particular person had an 'off' day. There shouldn't be anything big to worry about in such a case. |
