- Nice use of layered bass.
- Good to see some bg fx and percs that accompany the beat.
- I like how the synths blend together at 1:45 or so, definatly prog. style.
- The strings in the breakdown are nice, but you should change the sound you use. This one is too common I think. Also add some fx in the breakdown.
- The buildup is nice but needs to last a bit longer IMO.
- The melody gets a little repetitive after breakdown and all seems a little muddy, like the hi-hats, snare...
- For more of the prog. feel add some driving fx after the breakdown as the track progresses, like a simple wind swish or somethin.. |

Hey,
Listening ... Great Athmospheric sounds you have in the intro, is the first I noticed :). Bass is cool also, liked a lot your pads, kinda lacks of a strong main melody the whole track, but that's just my personal taste :).mI w8ill have to agree with others that after the breakdown becomes a bit monotone.
In overall, is a wicked track, I liked, good work mate ;).
PS.What Vsti you used for the pads and the Athmospheric sounds?

oh yeah.. when i create this crap.. i dont know there are many cool VSTi such as Z3ta+,pro-53, atmosphere..etc ..so i use every sample in FL... all the pad are dont by the softstring in FL, the Lead are done by 3osc of FL.. I flange it.. n ed it around... it is not a quality track though... i had beeen working hard on my latest track... THNX m8!!!!
It means alot :D :D :D |

- nice build-up
- percussion is too soft
- bass is nice, but it needs a little more power i think, put the release of the subbass a bit higher.
- synths and pads are good
- breakdown is niice:D
- i like the lead, but it's too loud i think
anyway good job mate:) keep it up

Hi Dinz
Some ideas there that you could work over.
My comments are really to do with the timing of the kick at 53 secs and 2.00, the 'flip' doesn't work, it needs to be offbeat by at least a measure, so what you get is a hiccup in the timing.
I also think that when you use a number of ambient textures and pads, you need to be really careful of reverb amounts as there will be frequency clashes.
The pads are all big and sometimes 'less is more'. In this case, they wash each other over and give the listener a muddled soundscape.
Pls do not feel I am cricising, I am just offering my views.
You could really work that track with some more melodic percussive and bass interchanges and some interesting key changes. At 1.36, I found the change a little off balance and too quick to fold back into the track, so maybe a little more anticipation will prepare the listener for the next onslaught.
Hope that is of use.

I like that cool pad reverb thingy in the intro. But later on, it messes up the mix. Be carefull with such pads, they are made to sound impressive. They are quite impressive though, but when you add them in the mix, then there's nothing left for the other sounds in the spectrum.
Now i'm in the break. Melody is a bit disappointment, i expected a other melody..
I like the track, nice work! But my complaint is the melody. |
