ok then, latest stuff i bought was KVK - Reality Theory which is prog trance breaks. Bedrock - Emerald is prog trance, so is Forge. and Yunus mix of Heaven Scent is surely prog trance as well.

Afraid not. Those are just melodic prog house cuts.

Progressive trance pretty much died around 2001.

This sucks, because i agree with your basic on-topic argument, but attacking the man's work is a sad and desperate attempt to try to goad him into an argument.

I cant say Im Foyle's biggest fans (or a fan at all), but I respect the time and effort that it takes to finalize any track. I think you should too. Please limit your argument to legitimate claims.

hmmm.. i think it depends on the person. i personally call a track trance if it gives a trancey feeling.. of course the elements in the track is what creates this effect. there can be melodic house but it doenst mean its trancey. look at francois k's stuff.. its really melodic deep house but its not trancey at all.. the tracks i listed ARE. which is my point of why i call it prog trance. u can say it died in 01' or whatever but if its progressive and it has trancey elements, thats what it is. progressive trance.

i am to lasy to read the whole thread, but i think prog trance is

1. trance with "progressive" bassline IE Rabbit in the moon east, and most of NE1, that long deep bassline, then with trancy melodies.

or

2. Trance that starts out with minimal sounds and builds over time. And peaks at the end, not in the middle. like second sun - the spell

Epic progressive trancers are made by producers who know how to make melodies as opposed to the producers who just lay down boring beats! Which is anything that Digweed plays!

Good Melodic prog:

Leama & Moor
Way Out West
Probspot
Nikola Gala
anything on Electronic Elements
and Global DJ Broadcast

Boring prog:

Most of the stuff Digweed has played since 2001
Most of the stuff on Bedrock

And everyone of those artists have been featured on GDJB. And most of them are featured on a regular basis. I must be missing something.

Swayzak you are the one that is here. your opinion is carries about as much weight as your fat ass. Dont rip on peoples artistic creations unless you are willing to put forth some of your own.
