Headphones for mp3 player recommendations

The Sony MDR-EX51/71? That's what I have. I'm sure they don't sound as good as the Shures or the Etymotics, but they're much cheaper. I use them while commuting in this noisy city so I don't really need pristine audio. (The alternative was to wear regular over-the-ear headphones WITH earplugs and BLAST the music. Compared to that, these Sony are absolutely amazing!)
Don't know how durable these Sony ones are, tho'. If they break I'll probably check out the Shures. |

i bought those and had to return them because the sound quality was terrible!!! all you could hear was the bass...just DUM DUM DUMMMMM. it was driving me insane. |
