no, they are a 3rd world nation because the majority of the people are ignorant to stand up and fight for what they believe in, and what they believe will better them as people, as well as better the society.
some societies and nations evolved, some didn't.
when you have something like this happening for centuries, it's hard to change such old mentality, atmosphere....
