buying a domain name

Hey guys
im looking into making my own website (and learning how to do it as i go along), but how do i buy a domain? and what are good places to do so that are fairly cheap
what kinds of things do i need to watch out for? do they have restrictions?
I've never done this before, and so i have no clue how to go about it...ANYYY help would be appreciated!

Just buy the domain from a good and credible site. The rest is easy. Just look for someone to hook you up with a good price. You also have to think about the specifics corcerning the site. You don't want to get a lot of space if you're not going to be using it all. Stuff like that.

yeah i know all that :) thats what im asking i guess.. in the post above
for some credible sites where i can get a domain name...and where there arent TOO MANy restrictions on bandwith... cuz ill be posting up my photos and i would think that it would use a lot of bandwith when ppl click on them all the time |

i THINK i have a server :) my bro has one on the upstairs computer which is connected to the computer dowstairs... :) should be okay for that for now..thanks tho! |

| www.brinkster.com just had a sale on their personal package. $2.4o per month or something, for 500mb space and 7gb bandwidth. Also you get a free domain name. The sale isnt on anymore though so it's $5.oo per month now. (I have a domain there and I've had no problems yet). |

You'll need a hosting company, I'll pm you the one I use, prices are really good. I went through them for domain registration as well. |
