i just quit smoking yesterday, so i'm starting to have some withdrawal symptoms, sinus problems and a general feeling of uneasiness. Any one know anything that can help?

i've been doing pretty good, but the big test will be tonight, cos i'm going out clubbing. I used to love smoking when i was drinkiong, so it'll take some effort to abstain from the norm tonight.

i have found it is far easier to quit if you have been smoking rolling tobacco as opposed to tailor made fags like b&h or marlboro.. if you are finding it rough, smoke roll ups for a week or two then try again. they have far less chemicals and guff in them and it makes it a bit smoother.. obviously you still get nicotine withdrawal, but it won't be as bad due to thew lack of other in them.

i am on my second attempt to stop smoking now, i have been going for about 3 or 4 weeks now. i find eating helps a lot, sucking mints (try and get sugar free) and smoking weed in bongs also helps.

if your sinuses are giving you jip, take something with decongestant in it. lemsip, hayfever remedies and cold remedies will help.

in my experiences, weed only makes me want to smoke a cig even more. and the only reason i havent quit smoking cigs yet is because i smoke too much weed. :toothless

but thats just me, i have a friend who quit smoking cigs by just smoking weed all day long. every time he wanted a cig, he just smoked some weed, and EVENTUALLY he got to the point where he couldnt smoke anymore (weed or cigs).

Props to you for trying to quit. It must be hard, but if you get more cravings, just think about what damage those things do to your lungs. That should put you off. :p

Also, there are loads of products on the market for helping you, like gum and patches. Some people say that chewing gum can help them, so if you're gonna try that, I suggest chewing the special gum. That way, you still get some nicotine, but you slowly reduce the amount of gum you chew over time and ween yourself off of them altogether.

Good luck.

fluorine and citrus fruits helps alot. Brush your teeth, chew some fluorine gums and eat a lot of oranges whenever you feel like smoking, it helped me :)

I still remember the day I woke up and had no craving.....it was very odd.....had been like 7 years since I had experienced that.....

when youve smoked for over 7 years, all you know is craving status and fixed status.... there is no "neutral".....

ofcourse, I started back up again in about 6 months.....

beats and beeps
smoking.
