Hi All,

I thought that I would take a few minutes to fill everyone in on what happend last night with the mixer situation. In a nutshell, Eddie's contract does state that he requires a Pioneer DJM 600. I left the club just prior to the doors opening to head over to Century Room to have a few drinks with Tiesto and the Project Orange crew. When I returned at 3:00 am, Eddie was here and I was informed that our Rane mixer was still in the booth. When I spoke with Li 'the tech' he informed me that the DJM 600 was creating a huge buzzing noise and feedback through the system and he put back the Rane as the Pioneer was not even usable.

At that point, I asked Li to take our DJM 500 from the lounge and bypass the Rane so we could at least provide Eddie with a slider mixer.

Once we got it sorted out and got Eddie into the booth, Eddie pointed out that the 500 does not have the FX and curb fader for scratching...Eddie truly wanted to put on the best show possible. We made a few calls and found another DJM that would take 1 hour to get to the club.

Many people have a difference of opinion at this point of what Eddie should or should not have done. I personally did not find him difficult in any way shape or form. His exact words to me where, 'I would rather wait and put on a proper show than play a few records, take my money and leave.' To be honest, the fact that he was really calm, cool, collected, and willing to wait around for the mixer showed me that he is truly an artist and truly a professional. I know a handful of DJ's that would have left the club and not bothered waiting...Eddie, if you are reading...thanks again for sticking it out...the Boa staff and patrons truly appreciate your dedication...It was well worth the wait!!!

To everyone that was in attendance, we truly appreciate your patience and we are happy to hear that at the end of it and, you did have a great time.

I also want to thank Jon Tremblay for holding things down in a big way...he had the floor rockin' and although some left prior to Eddie going on Jon did an amazing job at keeping everyone on the floor.

Thanks again for your understanding!

Seriously though-
The specified mixer Eddie needed to do his show was not in place. TR was scrambling trying to track one down, which is not an easy thing at 4am. I suggested they ask some of the TA's present who spin, such as RJ & Ray, what they had at home. Turns out, RJ had the Pioneer 600 (?) mixer he needed. RJ was already leaving to go home, as he had a wedding to go to today. Out of the super kindness of his heart, he actually drove the 100km's + to Oakville and back to bring us the mixer so the show could go on.

Jeeeeesus....now THAT is total class:gsmile:

Wow! RJ, the party saver (is there a t-shirt there?). I'm proud to say that I know RJ. And that he was at my house.
