ok.. i am just doing a 'nerd of the day' angry rant here ..
so i am in my networking class, and we have our domain controllers (Win 2000 Advanced Server), that were used to be simple member stations, setup .. and there's this main domain controller setup (Win 2003 Server) setup as the super server...
well we have been setting up like forever to get my domain controller to create a forest like structure, so i can be part of the super server (don't want to go in details about forest trees, because that will take forever) .. well .. it has been picking my brain forever, because the super server would never read my domain controller's active directory or domain name .. i tried editing my dns .. my ip address .. check my gateway .. everything ..
at the end, i finally got communication working, and windows 2003 server gives me the error message .. 'cannot make realm trust connection with computer, because the windows 2000 computer is not running service pack 3 or greater. please download the service pack.' .. something along those lines .. :whip: :whip:
