Hehe - I was very similar. I didn't take Driver's Ed though because my HS didn't offer it as a class, and my parents didn't want to shell-out $300 to a private service. So my dad urged me to go down to the DMV (walk, of course... bastard :p ) and pick up the License handbook and study it for a few days before I took my test. I failed the first attempt, but when I remember, it seems like there were a lot of commercial-vehicle questions...and I also think that she gave me the wrong exam. :wtf: I was one question away from passing the test for a commercial vehicle permit. :haha:

I ing hate public service. :p

i m sure it depends on countries ;) i was lucky i passed it and succeed at 1st attempt 3 years ago but i was a damn bad driver :stongue: and since the testes are getting much more difficult, at least here in france...the poll is about driving test, but as for the writting test i have a friend who already failed 5 times :haha:
IronDragon
Took like ten minutes.

I was really nervous at first because I got up on the curb when I had to pull up to the testing area but it was really no sweat.

I did forget to sound my horn on the way back and almost got backed into; thought that would doom me but thankfully it didn't
