What happened to Perfecto?

I cant be arsed going to search around the net for info, so i was wondering if some fellow TAs' could help me out... basically this was at one time the label of labels (esp. for me), signing Tilt, Man with No Name etc, Oakenfold did so much for trance with this label that i feel it under appreaciated now.

I know occasionally some mix CDs come out (Arthur Baker, Seb Fontaine), but what happened to the vinyl side? Anyone?? I spent so much to get the Perfecto back cat, be sad to see them/it disappear into the past, like so many other great labels (Hooj etc...)

yeah i cant even get the website to go - i have been thinking the same thing actually

It is still around, I just think since Oakenfold moved on with his new direction, his label did as well. I think his label was never really that big imo, it was more of a vehicle for Oakenfold to release his remixes and his stuff. It is not dead by a longshot, Perfecto Chill I think it was called. Timo Maas was a big draw to his label before but Timo started his own label 4:20 and signed up for Hope to run it.

WTF is wrong with you, did you just miss Creamfields or didn't think it was worth looking at. What about the perfect remixes CDs???

goddamn it people open your eyes

The vinyl side of the label has ceased in terms of singles at least. They focus more on albums and compilations now.

Hopefully he doesnt go through with it. Would like to see Perfecto make a "comeback" need more artists though like young DJs or something. Oakie is past his prime.

A label gone to waste.

vinyl sales are down worldwide. Theres not enough money in that format for perfecto to really keep releasing things. Perfecto is a money label, and theyll go were the money is, compilations and things like has been said.

It's a shame, Perfecto brought out loads of great tunes, especially around 2000-2001 (just before i got into DJing :(), there's really not many good UK trance labels these days...
