Hi all!
Here's a track I've been working for about 3 months (It's almost finished now), and "Troy"'s the title because I've inspired from one of the tracks from the soundtrack of the movie.
Sorry about the quality, I couldn't find a decent host and until then I hope you'll be able to listen to it and give me feedbacks.
Genre: Trance/Epic
L/Q: 1:30 @ 112kbps
Software I used: FLS4
D/L: http://s2.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=E...30D955BA4295355

Thanks, ronen.

OK after receiving zero comments.....here's a two minutes (almost) sample hosted at tripod. Hope you'll take a listen.

Tripod link dosent work. :whip:

Listening to the sample in the first post:

-Strings are too fruity. Definately needs some kinda vst over em.
-Frequency of the main synth seems a tad too high.
-Percussion dosent generate enough atmosphere into the tune.
-Needs compressing.

I like the general idea of the melody but its almost busting my ears with the pitch. Compress it and lower some of the synths and this would be a florrfilla mate. :)

Fianally! thanks for listening mate :)
Strings - I know, and I'm trying to get some VSTs to replace them.
Freq - I'll try to compress it and lower the high freqs. It already has 1 compressor with 2 eqs on it, I'll see what I can do about it.
Percs - I'll try to make them louder. I have 6 layers of percs there.
Compressor - I already have one, I'll try to compress it more.

Hi,

Very epic song!

I think you need to boost the low end, and increase the perc level quite a bit as they are very quiet.

Maybe lower the synth levels a bit to compensate for the quiety low end.

This song has lots of energy! Hard to comment on anything else, as the sample was short.

Hope that helps some! Keep it up,
Trevor

Great song, great film.

Anyway, I think with such an epic song you may want to leave more of the orchestral feel in there. That's just a thought, but the sheer amount of synth sounds sorta cheesy. Try and tone down the synths and make it more epic, maybe add some heavier bass too (that could be the 112 and my speakers though).

Anyway, nice job. :)

Thanks for listening sooper and Gholy Host, I really appreciate it.
As for the short-low-quality sample, I'm still trying to find a good host for a longer sample :(
Anyway I'll try to do what you wrote and see how the results will come out.
