The reason it's not nominated is probably because of the popularity factor. Taking a look at the names of the artists, it's clear that popularity is the reason, just like the rest of the Grammies and mainstream music.

EDM's rise into the mainstream is getting faster and faster. This Grammy nomination is a bad thing, personally.

 Man, I piss on that lis.......uhhhhh, i mean Oakenfold - Creamfields .......Reflections is being used as a coaster in my house.
eRRaTiK
i'd go for creamfields, even if it's a compilation.

reflections? :haha:

where's tiesto's latest? though it sucks it should be there so the n00bs could award it the honours.
djRocket
I vote creamfields simply because it's got tilt - the world doesn't know on it. I doubt they will even broadcast the live acceptance for whoever wins, they'll just say it as an afterthought.
Pettiscool
van dyk for sure....... that tilt track is awesome thou
flavdave
I'm excluding Creamfields. Out of the rest my favorite is Kish Kash.
Mugenlude99

easy, kish kash, it's not the best of the bunch but it's good,
creamfields is a compilation. reflections, legions of boom & always outnumbered.... is weak

And that's exactly what's ed with this. The grammy's are supposed to be about quality, not popularity. They add a new category and make a joke about it.

The only thing this proves is that there are politics going on.

Where's G&D's album? It's great. Where's Ferry's ablum. We are sick of punk, but still better than most of those? And then there's Involver. I can think of several other albums that are better than each and every one of those nominees, except for maybe Reflections.

And Reflections came out in October 2003 in the US...it's so old!

This is retarded.

Well, if this is the first year that they're giving this award and are wanting to really shove EDM down the mainstream's throats like everyone here is saying, they just might air it.
Petrogad
Easily pvd's reflections
