In any respect you could prolly get yourself a good deal by buying it back off the insurance co.
even if it works out too expensive for you to repair, because it is quite a rare model of escort in the UK, some enthusiast may pay good money for it for a project car or as an almost complete set of spares for one they already own.
So get your insurance money, buy the car back and sell it to an enthusiast.

That's not Yankie.

Most European Fords are completely different to those in the US minus the Focus and Explorer.
