| Recently, I've been introduced to some techno trance like music, and was wondering if you guys could recommend some good cd's, and let me know anything else about the whole trance scene. Merci. |

After that last game against the packers, that would be pretty damn hard. ;)
BTW, where do you guys buy most of your cd's? Local bestbuy, internet, etc. |

depends on what kind you like. i say try paul van dyk or tiesto, alot of that stuff people like before they get more into EDM and discover more stuff. |

Hello. I would say to buy one of those trance compilations with many arists in them. That's where you hear most of the popular tunes. But then you might come across Scooter on some of those compilations, and that group is just too awesome.
So yeah, Tiesto, Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten and DJ Sammy. Start from there.

Besides Amazon.com, one of the best places to find a great selection of Trance music is at Borders. I've found that Best Buy has a horrible selection - hell, the Best Buy here in Naples doesn't even have a Dance music section! :wtf: :whip:
So if you're an initiate, might want to go to a local Borders (or eqivalent bookstore) and check out the 'Dance' section. Just the other day, I managed to score a copy of Oakenfold's GU007: NY and a few months ago I ascertained a copy of Perfecto Fluoro - both somewhat uncommon albums and both found at Borders. :D
If you're completely and utterly new to it though, go to your nearest Wal-Mart and look under 'Paul Oakenfold' and get both 'Tranceport' and 'Perfecto Presents Another World'. Those are two very common and commercialized CDs released by the master of common and commercialized EDM - Mr. Oakenfold, himself. :)
(They're still some of my favorite albums as well ;) ) |
