well cobracommander, what albums would you have nominated ???

i would've nominated sasha - involver

and i'm not so sure about nominating a mix compilation like creamfields. sasha's album still is his work because they're all remixes of stuff. i'm not sure about all the other albums besides pvd. i assume basement jaxx's is an artist album too.

lol i would rather win a grammy than winning the "prestigious" dj mag award for best dj of the year.

The Grammy's have ALWAYS nominated commercial/popular stuff over the really good/less popular albums. I'm sure Nelly ever came CLOSE to having the best hip hop album in a year, yet after every album he releases, he's nominated.

lol.. grammy has no ing clue.. creamfields is not an artist album... its a ing compilation.. a 'mix cd'. and i disagree about involver being nominated. only 100% original artist album should be included in this category. yes sasha remixed evey track on it, but the original idea /concept behind the tracks to begin with, was not his work.. he just added more/different elements to the tracks to fit his style/atmosphere/mood for the mix.

it's still steps ahead of oakenfold. and what about hip hop artists who use samples from old tracks, and getting nominated for that? (too lazy to look up how many past songs are like that) are you going to throw out those nominations too? :)

reflections was such a waste of time ... if original artist albums wernt the criteria i would have gone with james holden - balance 005 ... now that album was sheer class
