meh I've never liked any song that's won an award, my subscription to pop culture expired a while ago...
although EDM is becoming more popular among NY teens such as myself

^^^ :D i must get me that Alive. A buddy of mine (maxtradamus) told Zabiela, when he met him, that the Alive cover sucked :P funny story, anyways Sasha can't get any bigger so he doesn't need a grammy anyway :toothless

haven't heard of Alive, or Zabiela. is it that good?

I have never purchased a cd because it was a Grammy winner. It has never even entered my purchase decision. Who needs someone who's first love is Country, Rap or Metal to tell me what the "best" EDM release is.

I hold the opinions of those who post here on tranceaddict in much higher esteem.

The man is a technical God. If you have yet to hear a Zabiela set, you have not lived.

obviously i would like Pvd to win - even though it was 2003, but im still confused as to why there is a mix album in there?

Again... It's in there because it's popular. That's what this is; music's biggest popularity contest.

Zabiela is good but he isn't a technical god.

Hell No ! I am not even close to the skill level of some DJ's but that doesn't mean I can't opine on the subject.

A few opinions...

Winner: of this list, Reflections should be the winner. Even though it's been played to death it's still a very good album, and certainly the best out of this crummy list. Hopefully, next year it wont be just about the names and more about the true talent in EDM.

Involver: I absolutely agree this is by far the best album of the year if not the last couple of years or more. The skill Sasha displays behind the decks and his producing is still what most of us aspiring DJs should be aiming at.

Zabiela: technically, Alive is an amazing album but just that. I was very exited about this album before I bought it because of all the hype I'd heard about Zabiela. But honestly, besides the linier notes which are very cool to read as you listen to the album, it was very disappointing. Still, his live performances, I like a lot. Maybe next time.
