| why do all these noobs feel they have to spend hundreds of £/$ before they even start making anything. why the bother? chances are ur gonna play around with the idea of producing for a few months, realise how ing hard it is and that ur stuff will sound for a good 2 years before u start to become happy with the results and quit. so why dont u all save urselves the expenditure of about $500 on monitors and midi keyboards till about 6 months/a year down the line and if u still enjoy producing by then and are starting to get better then buy these things then. |

oh yea just a couple more Qs..
can I use a normal keyboard (not controller) as a MIDI controller?
Reason being, I have a keyboard .. an old Yamaha DJX.. and the built in synths suck. So I'd rather wire it through a softsynth.
Can I? I need a Midi cable/port thingy right? What elsE?
My soundcard is just a standard sblive 5.1 so it doesn't have a MIDI in port.
