Hi! New to the Productions Forums of TA

Hello,
I have been on TA for a while but I have never posted in the productions forum. I just wanted to take this time to introduce myself as I will probably become a regular here, that is...if I am welcome :)
Everyone calls me "Z". I am a female from New York and I have started producing trance this year. I also used to DJ hip hop music back in the day. I dont have any supreme equipment or anything. I am working with a keyboard, my pc and Fruity Loops. I have other programs that I have not explored yet as I want to master Fruity loops first.
If anyone has any suggestions they would like to post they are more than welcome. I dont havbe any complete tracks as of yet because I am still learning. I do have a couple of 2-3 minute clips but nothing worth posting yet IMO.
Some problems I have encountered are:
Making an effective drop to a song (anyone have any tips)
and creating different variations for base beats. (if anyone can give me ideas of other things I can use besides kicks etc. to make some more creative sounds that would be helpful.
And last but not least, can anyone recommend any good VST's to use. I currently have vanguard and some others, or any other sites for plugins etc.

| Welcome.. I suggest you check out kvr-vst.com for plugins and reviews.... As for the bass drop its as sample as taking a 808 kick and reversing it.. Or you can automate pitch change information to a synth patch and do it that way.... |

it doesnt bother me. I have been harassed many of times by the COR regulars. Maybe I should mention I have a fiance and a 4 year old son. eh! nah that wouldnt stop em either :D :D :p |

Depends,you did mention a son but not a father,LOL.....so you could be divorced or sort of and then stalkers would hunt ya with islamic passion :P. |

I did mention a fiance, my fiance is the father (well technically) but I am due to be married next year. |

Welcome here! I use Pro 53, V-station and Z3ta+.
All these synths are A++ synths that can sound more or less
as good as the real thing. I don't like Vanguard, since it
has a distinctive sound to it, and not in a good way IMO.
Another synth that is worth checking out is the Steinberg
X-Phraze. I'm gonna buy it really soon! It sounds amazing.
