there was a game called Hellfire on the megadrive that had excellent music - about midi quality but was really well put together.
also the first eurofighter (TFA, or something?) game had some quality tracks - not real tunes still midi quality stuff.
at the other end of the scale is need for speed underground. start winamp up before you play the game, and turn in game music OFF. noice. |

The music from Final Fantasy games is absolutely beautiful. Uematsu definitely knows what he's doing - unfortunately, the instruments by which it's composed are usually quite sub-par. For FF VI and VII - the songs are so wonderful - but they have sort of a midi-quality to them. :sadgreen:
If someone were to redo the music with a huge orchestra, I'd definitely buy it. :D
As is, it's electronic music with the bad quality. If it were to redone with high quality, it wouldn't be really all that electronic anymore. Heh - sort of a Catch-22. ;) |

there's a 'Final Fantasy Concert' CD that was recorded live where they played the major themes from all the games that was done with an orchestra etc. gl finding where to buy it tho :/ |
