So has anybody actually listened to this or what?

Funny how on a music forum, when a thread is actually made about music, nobody discusses it.

(unless its tiesto)

I listened to the first 20 minutes last night before going to sleep.

The opening track was great, really set the tone early. It started to get into some (what I would consider) some minimalist type sounds (not too many sounds going on at once) which lost me for a bit.

However, I scanned through it and the whole set does have some great tracks later on. I plan on listening to the rest later today (after ASOT).

2 of my favourite tunes on there are the "What happened?" one and "The real jazz" (from back around 98 or so).

Which can't hold a candle to Ad-Aware/Spybot. And RealPlayer technically isn't spyware, since it doesn't track your activity (not to my knowledge anyway) - it just tries to hijack your computer, forcing that stupid tray icon to open on startup, associating itself with almost every media type, and once or twice I've actually seen it cripple other media players (I think they fixed that after a few legal threats).

So no, your "a media player is a media player" statement is incorrect. Most media players, including even the Windows media player, do not exhibit such obnoxious nuisance-creating behaviour. The idiots who work at that company don't seem to understand that I only installed RealPlayer to play REALMEDIA files, not EVERY SINGLE MUSIC AND MOVIE FILE ON MY PC. I managed to take care of the hijacking with some careful security policies and reverse engineering, but I still find that the quality is crap compared to just about every other media format.
