Dark Trance, the next Step: Cybernetica - Phobos' Embrace .. feedback please

Heyhey,
after several days of insane work my new track is finished.
This one is in the vein of my earlier track "Dominion" (posted it here a few days ago), "Phobos' Embrace" is just like its name suggests. Eerie, dark and hard Trancey stuff.
Expect a fast (150BPM) and trippy mix between Trance, Psy, Rave and Industrial. On the one hand atmospheric, eerie pads setting the mood, on the other hand harsh acidlines that attack with ferocity. I call my music "Dark Rave", but label it however you want :)
Oh, and it's very epic, so it would be very nice of you to take some time to listen. Thanks!

Well I did detect a few trancey elements in there.
Wow that was a long track. ;) It's rare that a song of this style keeps my attention that long though so kudos to you for that.
I like the complexity and the "stacatto-ness" of the track, very cool. ;) |

- nice fx at 0:40. i need to get me some of those sounds
- intro overall sounds really cool. fx are very poignant.
- i like the way the bass synth comes in. i almost did not notice.
- that melody that comes shortly at 1:45 is really nice
- bassline is good, almost like Juno Reactor
- the psy elements are pretty good, but need some definite LFO action
- some of the synths may need to be a bit fuller, as they sound kind of dry.
- I really like the melody at 6:30 and how it works with the beat. but here the bass sounds too muted.
- also add some strings or something of the sort. that would sound cool i think... |

Around 0:45 I love that really angry synth. RAR!!
And 1t 1:50, I love the bassline. Very nice dark feel.
I don't really like your hi hat. It's too... real sounding? Something about it feels off.
I must say that I've spent most of this track dancing in my chair. I haven't found anything wrong so far other than that hat. It's a fun track. Good work. |
